3 Phrases to Avoid when in a Fight

What to avoid in a fight? 👇

❌ “It’s your fault” (negative labeling)
❌ “You will do what I say” (commanding)
❌ “Why do you always do that!?” (power phrases)

These are examples of 3 types of emotional trigger phrases.

When used, the other person might feel anger or frustration.

They will feel attacked.

Using the word “you” (or so called you-statements) with any negativity will put the other person into a defensive mode.

If you want to resolve a conflict and not trigger the other person – avoid using “you” and these emotional triggers.
